Day 10 of 29 Faces in 29 Days - Original ACEO
for Sale on DPW: http://www.dailypaintworks.com/fineart/penny-stewart/original-aceo-incognito-watercolor-and-pen-portrait-abstract-face/121004
This original ACEO in an abstract loose style comes from a series I am doing for 29 faces in 29 days on Facebook. "Incognito" shows a movie star or famous person or just someone who likes to hide behind sunglasses. Done in very bright colors, with watercolor and fine liner work.
ACEO refers to the size - 2½” x 3½” - also called an ATC or artist’s trading card. Signed by artist. Complete contact info on back - comes in a protective sleeve. The photo looks bigger, but it is truly the size of a baseball card. Original, not a copy, painted with acrylics on heavy paper.
i really love the style of the this, and the colors.

ReplyDeleteThanks for all the lovely comments! Can't wait to visit your blogs.
ReplyDeleteThis is quite amazing. I love the multiple colors worked in and around the face. My first impression was Elton John. Hee :)
ReplyDeletegorgeous colour work... and I love loose line work... maybe because I am so bad at careful line work... but this is a wonderful energetic result... love it..xx
ReplyDeleteThanks, y'all. I really do not do careful line work, I try to be very loose and sparse with it, not too much. The colors are done in washes first, then I find the faces.
