Canterbury Tales, 7 Character Illustrations, PPF

I painted these for my grandson's Narrative Studies project.
Happy Paint Party Friday, Everyone!
7 (seven) 6x6 inch paintings, done in watercolor and pen, each one colorfully matted, with a white backing board, ready to frame in an 8x10 size. These illustrations were done for my grandson during his Narrative Studies program in college, to illustrate a board game he created based on The Canterbury Tales, set in Medieval Times. The characters I drew for him included The Squire, The Knight, The Wife of Bath, The Merchant, The Miller, The Nun and The Friar. These would look great adorning the walls of a children's room or to use in a classroom setting.

In case you are not familiar with Canterbury Tales, it is a collection of over 20 stories written in Middle English by Geoffrey Chaucer at the end of the 14th century, during the time of the Hundred Years' War. The tales (mostly written in verse, although some are in prose) are presented as part of a story-telling contest by a group of pilgrims as they travel together on a journey from Southwark to the shrine of Saint Thomas Becket at Canterbury Cathedral. The prize for this contest was a free meal at the Tabard Inn at Southwark on their return. - per Wikipedia

This is my original art, not prints. Each one is hand painted and drawn by me.
