Paint Party Friday, Busy Week!

Happy Paint Party Friday, everyone.
Busy week!
This week I entered 2 pieces into a new Art Contest online, painted 7 ACEO faces for 29 Faces in February 2014 and also finished a DPW Challenge.

"Cups and Bowls" 8x8 acrylic on wood.

Attention artists!  New Art Contest - Open to ALL

ABOUT THIS CONTEST

I remembered that I painted fried eggs in an actual frying pan, and it was one of my favorite pieces from that stage of my development.  I was painting on anything that did not move!  An old black frying pan caught my attention, so I painted it to look like Blue Spatterware.  Then I painted two eggs in it, or on it.  Doesn't it look real on the stove?  Now that's trompe l'oeil (fool the eye) for you.  You can see my signature along the edge on the right.  But, this is a 2 dimensional contest, so I cannot enter it.  Read on.

The People's Art Contest (PAC) is a completely democratic art contest. The monthly theme is chosen by the people.  The prize amount and number of places paid depend on the number of people who enter, and those people are the judges
It's only $6 to enter, and you can enter any 2D work (painting or drawing, new or old, sold or available).  The participating artists are the people who vote. The Theme is EGGS.  I decided to enter TWO of my food paintings to kick things off.

  5. Love that painting - it's a loose painting of a still life subject and that gives it so much movement - one of my favorite styles of painting. Gorgeous
