Black and White, Two Ways, ACEOs and Crochet, PPF

Black and White, Two ways

These two ACEOs were done with Tradio pen, which is not waterproof and when you touch it with a wet brush, it bleeds and runs in interesting ways.
Available in my Ebay Store in the SALE section. I have more than 50 ACEOs for sale $5 and under. Check it out!

This Freeform Crochet Beret Hat and Mini Neckscarf, both pieces of my Wearable Art collection, which also mimic my love of contrast and pattern. Most of my closet is filled with Black and White because it is so easy to decide what to wear.  LOL. These are currently available on Etsy.

Chinese New Year ACEOs, Black and white Wedding Picture for PPF

Watercolor, Chinese or Lunar New Year ACEOs
For sale in my Ebay Store, done for a challenge

Every week we change the topic and Feb is the start of the Lunar New Year, so these are my interpretations of the symbols and festivities of the holiday.

I made twofers out of a larger watercolor painting, and these are the matted pictures ready for framing in a standard 8x10 size. For sale in my Etsy Shop.

Another challenge this week, this one on Daily Paint Works, to forget about color and paint using only black and white. I took a photo of my daughter's Victorian style wedding many years ago and did it in watercolor, using only black paint and the white of the paper.

The exercise helped me to see the values in the picture.

Monochromatic PPF Paint Party Friday

Monochromatic, Black and White painting of a Bouquet of Flowers in a vase.  A Challenge for DPW this week.  I love color, so this was out of my comfort zone, but I did like it.  I might even do it again!  My submission for Paint Party Friday!

Zentangle, White on Black, ACEO, ATC Challenge

This is a new one - a Zentangle Challenge.  New to me anyway.  I guess it is #100 for the site.  I used to do these a lot, because they are very ZEN and relaxing, but got away from it for a couple of years.  This weekly challenge inspired me to do some more.  Usually they are done with black pen on white paper, but, just to be different,  I used an acid free black mat board, cut to ATC/ACEO size, and an old fashioned ink pen dipped into white acrylic ink.  Not as dependable as a fine point marker, but when it created a blob, I just worked it into the design.  It's supposed to represent a form of dance, and I chose Rock and Roll.
