The first batch of 30 ACEO Nutcrackers in 30 Days, Oct 15-Nov15
and Another Doggie Pet Portrait
This was another challenge on Daily Paintworks, working on shadows. It was not easy! LOL. Those spots gave me fits.
Love your rockstar, and the nutcracker figurine. Great ATCs, too, you are on a roll!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Valerie. Trying to get into the Holiday Spirit.
DeleteHa-ha such fun nut crackers.
ReplyDeleteIt is fun, but I have trouble fitting the whole figure onto the 2.5 x 3.5 card. That's why their feet are generally not in the picture. I am working smaller and smaller.
DeleteI'm not a nutcracker fan, but I LOVE your rock star one!! You could change my mind...love your doggie portrait too!! Thanks for sharing!1

Hi, Giggles,
DeleteSeems like people either love them or hate them, like clowns. Thanks.

So well done! It may have been a challenge with your precious dalmation, but you did a marvelous job.

Thank you, Bronson Hill Arts! He is kinda growing on me.
DeleteNutcrackers! I love playing around and painting those. I had a friend who liked them so much I got pretty good at making nutcracker painting "things" for her. ;) LOVE your work. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteTam
Hi, Tam,
DeleteThanks for your kind words. The nutcrackers are fun to paint, and I have committed to doing 30 of them, so I am trying to vary the figures as much as possible without going into the character ones, sticking mainly to traditional. But the Rock Star was here, so I painted him.

Bahahahaaa...I LOVE it! Your rocker nutcracker is just hilarious. All of your paintings of nutcrackers are so dear and droll. I love your pup, too. Just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteSold the Rockstar Nutcracker. Yayyy.
DeleteThanks, Beth. So glad it made you laugh. I love to paint funny things, like smiling dogs and goofy nutcrackers!
