Portraits, Puppies and Posies PPF

I finished 30 Landscape ACEOs in September, now on to thinking about Christmas themes. I will be doing a challenge in the Facebook Group 30 ACEOs in 30 Days from October 15 - November 15. Join us to see all the lovely work created by a group of fun artists, and make some of your own.

What I painted this week . . .

6x6 "Ponytail Girl," Red Hair, up close face portrait. Done with Acrylic on wood panel, 3/4 inch thick, painted black all around so you can sit it on a shelf, or hang it without a frame if you like. Painted in Chantel's Online Facebook Acrylic Atelier, where Chantel Chantel Lynn Barber shares her expertise and offers reference photos to paint, plus gives critiques of your efforts. Thanks, Chantel!

5x7 Acrylic on Wood Panel, painted black on 4 sides, so it can be displayed on a shelf or hung without a frame.
Old Scotsman Bagpiper, taking a much needed rest, wearing a plaid kilt, beret and highland costume. Done for a challenge on Reference Photos for Artists, FREE reference photo by Heather Whyte.

and I painted two cute dogs this week in a challenge on Artist Reference Photos, another Facebook Group.

I guess I am still in a Floral Mood. I finished 100 Painted Posies for Artomat, and now I am still doing flowers on ACEOS 2.5 x 3.5 inches, in Acrylic on heavy paper for collectors.

  2. What a wonderful display of art to view! Things that really got my attention were the dog's pink tongue, the other dog's eye, and the perfect rendition of a person's ear! How fabulous!

  6. The shaggy dog is my favorite! He is so dimensional! That tongue looks real - like he could just reach out and lick me! Happy PPF!

    1. Thanks, Tammie,
The tongue was a challenge. Like painting teeth. I did a cat's tongue once, but this one turned out much better!
