What I did this week
A Challenge on PMP:
I painted this for a music art challenge on
www.Paintmyphoto.ning.com. There were 8 pieces of music to listen to, and after picking my favorite, I found a photo reference on PMP and painted while listening to the musical poem. I chose a very serene piece to interpret. The painting is kind of surreal, I think.
Another Challenge this week:
In my Aceo on Ebay Facebook Group, the challenge was to paint an ACEO 2.5 x 3.5 inches, from this photo of a Jersey cow.
I zeroed in on the face, cropped it, and used acrylic on heavy paper for my cow.
These 4 ACEOs have been matted and come with a free mat board backing, and are sealed in cellophane sleeves. They are ready to frame and hang on a wall. Think of it as a splash of color for that dreary place in your den, kitchen, powder room or boudoir. They could be displayed in groups of 2 or even all 4 together. I am going to sell them as a "set" of four 5x7 matted florals, similar to my "Posies in Pots" series that I have been doing for Artomat. Each one fits nicely into a standard size 5x7 inch frame. I saw some cute 5x7 frames at the dollar store last week, so this would be a great way to start a miniature art collection for a minimal cash investment.
These hand painted acrylic flowers are one of a kind, unique works of art that could be given as presents for Christmas or Birthdays, as thank-you, hostess or housewarming gifts. At $20 for all 4 paintings, including shipping, this is a great bargain.
